Chess in primary school
I’ve got used to school now, even though homework still sucks.
Chess and Trip through Europe
(Nils) I like the new Chess AG though. Thats wehre pupils from the 4th grade meet to play chess. Hence I can practice against people other tan Niklas or dad. Unfortunately, the teacher was sick for a couple of weeks, so there was no Chess AG.
Just before the summer holidays we had our summer celebration at school. Our class chose Turkey for the "Trip through Europe". We offered a lot of information on Turkey, belly dances, a throwing gallery and a lot of turkish specialties, the sales of which kept the money flowing for the school.
What comes after Primary School?
I’ll have to decide in January to which secondary school I’d like to go.
I’ve been thinking about going to the ’Realschule’ with my friends for quite some time. However the grammar school in the school centre had its visiting day in November. There, I found out that the Realschule, which is also there, starts at the same time and has the same breaks than the grammar school. Thus I can go to school together with my friends and play with them during the breaks.
During the visit, they showed us a Physics experiment, we were shown the big gym, the drawing and the music rooms, one of the computer labs and a class. We saw the timetable for 5th grade on the blackboard: 6 hours per day, but saturdays were free.
I sat on my own in a real biology class a couple of days later, which was really exciting and interesting. Well, I guess I’ll go to the grammar school, especially since they do a lot of natural sciences.
